Electronic Arts during conference for their investors, presents plans of releasing of new titles for current fiscal year. Apart of new “Titanfall” there is no suprises.
Electronic Arts announced its publishing plans for the next fiscal year. The company focuses on well-known and popular brands, like the next edition of the football “FIFA” series. Naturally, the next part of “Need for Speed” and “Plants vs. Zombies”, whose first rumors appeared already in March last year.
The new version of “Titanfall” is certainly a surprise. Nobody expected it, especially since only a few days ago Respawn Entertainment and EA released the free game “Apex Legends” taking place in the same universe. As Vince Zampella, the head of the Respawn studio, says about it, it will not be a free-to-play game and will include the “turnaround” for the brand. Electronic Arts also confirmed that this year’s plans include “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order”.
?FIFA stands out as a robust franchise through a tumultuous year in the video game industry,? said COO and CFO Blake Jorgensen. ?Elsewhere in the business, we?re making adjustments to improve execution and we?re refocusing R&D. Looking forward, we?re delighted to launch Anthem, our new IP, to grow Apex Legends and related Titanfall experiences, to deliver new Plants vs. Zombies and Need for Speed titles, and to add Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to our sports titles in the fall.?
