After months of contradictory rumors about “The Batman”, director Matt Reeves revealed official information in a new interview.
Matt Reeves met with the Hollywood Reporter journalist to tell about the work on the Dark Knight’s solo adventures with “The Batman”. Unfortunately, according to the journalist, the director doesn’t mention about Ben Affleck’s role, but Deadline.com confirmed that actor is out and soon we will meet new Batman.
Reeves thinks that his Batman story is kept in the noir style and is completely narrated from the perspective of a superhero. The whole plot is to be placed on the shoulders of the Dark Knight, and he hopes that he will create an exciting and exciting story.
Matt Reeves told Hollywwod Reporter
It’s very much a point of view-driven, noir Batman tale. It’s told very squarely on his shoulders, and I hope it’s going to be a story that will be thrilling but also emotional. It’s more Batman in his detective mode than we’ve seen in the films. The comics have a history of that. He’s supposed to be the world’s greatest detective, and that’s not necessarily been a part of what the movies have been. I’d love this to be one where when we go on that journey of tracking down the criminals and trying to solve a crime, it’s going to allow his character to have an arc so that he can go through a transformation.
He claims that this type of plot will allow him to introduce the hero so that he will undergo some transformation. He also announces that there will be more than one villain. He used the popular term “rogues gallery” which refers to Batman’s enemies. The casting is about to start soon, and the film plan is slowly shaping up. Reeves explains that he will soon be improving his scenario again, and then they will start creating visual concepts.
We haven’t been dated. I wouldn’t commit to this, but we’re thinking the movie would probably be for 2021, late spring or summer. Warner Bros. has been incredibly supportive and given me a lot of time and shared the same passion that I do for this story.
After this interview we already know that new Batman movie will debut in cinemas on June 25 2021.
